  1. I mean, is it the only site you could go to? and you're up to date in paying your bills? that happened to me a short time ago, had my net disconnected because of some other things i had to prioritize.

that time the portal was the only site i could go to.

  2. Well if you're wise enough to read their comments, you'll be able to determine whether it's crap or not.

well, if those comments were false ones, then your in deep sh*t. i could make a Limewire look-a-like anytime, and put some bogus stuff in there.

anyway,do you know you're advertising piracy?

  3. I believe Smart supports any Linux distro. I'm running on Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon and didn't have any problem with it. You're right, Smart's installer do not know anything about Linux so I have to let them install the connection through a Windoze pc. There's nothiing complicated setting up with Ubuntu, it's a plug and play thing, even easier than the other OS. II suggest you install router if you want to connect another computer besides your laptop. it's very annoying that you always be redirected to the smart portal everytime you change pcs.

Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy will be out in 2 days. This is the LTS (long term support) version so I'm planning to upgrade as soon as I receive the free CD i pre-ordered. Visit http://shipit.ubuntu.com for a free CD.

here's my speedtest (i believe Gnu/Linux OS is optimized for the internet, no tweaking required)

Actually, my connection is faster on Feisty than it was on windows. Too bad i messed up with my disc partitioning so i had to take it down.

  4. Hmm... I don't know. It really looks like a bug in the way SmartBro is implementing their service. I believe you all remember how they installed your connection. Those 101 numbers are our service reference numbers.  They are used to log in accounts that doesn't have account username and password yet.

I suggest someone who has a connection to Smart's personnel tell them that there is a flaw on their service.

  5. :stop:  let me get my bike, I'll chase shug.  :2fast: this isn't fair, we are pure innocent boys here and we don't know anything...  :angel4: now tell us before we start reading the manual  :read: ( i see a white bunny on that book)

    innocent?? NO WAY IN HELL!!!!!

    okdouble i'll tell youpenetration

  6. guys,

somehow a single Access point can serve as much as  hundreds of Subscribers according to motorola and i believe them...

try re aligning your antennas.. grab some six pin rj 11.. and connect it to a headset... attach the two wires from the headset to the wire 4 and 6.. and plug it on the rj 11 slot found in your canopy... make sure you are in aiming mode.. it works for me..

its actually not the smartbro network, but more on the incompetence of the technician who installed it. they just align it using their 40/20 eyes without any use of an aligner.

so do the climbing and turn it until you get a nice reception. try reading further on the articles found on the motorola website...

    :)

here is my recent speed test as of 8:30am Philippine Time

new way of making an override plug, i believe. but it's still easier to use a small piece of wire as a jumper on wires 4 and 6
