You shouldn't need to use the installation cd...

Your service provider has to change your IP from static to dynamic, you can't do that yourself.
No-ip.com should work well in most situations however.

They came today.. quite fast shipping. (Ordered monday night, arrived thursday afternoon)
After getting them adjusted a bit, I'd have to say they're pretty sweet
No dead pixels/damage... great color, really clear, no ghosting... and they're nice and big.
Now I gotta find a place to store the old ones... lol

No... and it really wouldn't be a good idea either. Without a cache your browsing speed will slow down greatly and memory usage will go up. Now if they had an option to clear the cache on exit like FF does...

Do you have a firewall active?

Nope.. lol
Personally I like a quiet machine... mine's not real quiet and it irritates me sometimes. Ideally I would like to have a whisper quiet machine, but short of putting it in another room, or an insulated, ventilated cabinet, it's pretty hard.

As far as the new forum... there's not really enough to warrant that yet...

Yeah, but what I said still stands...

No... I think that mirror is down
correction: the wrong files are listed. Only the 1MB and 20MB files exist..

IE might be causing that... it's happened to me before.

It's probably just hiding somewhere else with a new name...

all it is is a 3rd party GUI for shutdown.exe

it's because the reverse DNS lookup is failing
I can't tell you why that's happening though..
try "tracert -d testmy.net" to skip the DNS lookups

They flash when data is being transmitted/received...
