  1. Comcast just had an outage here in Chicago in my area so just wanted to check to see if they had messed up my speeds. Guess not, thank heavens. Here's with the 20Mbps test. :::.. 3. [move]Congratulations, great speeds.[/move]
  4. I know this is a silly question, but you have re-booted your modem, right?
  5. 6. Yeah, wonder why we are so far behind? I guess when you start out on the wrong foot, it's hard to get back in step.
  7. Oh yes, how well I remember when I got my first 14.4 modem. I couldn't believe how fast it was, then the 28.8, etc. Then I went to ISDN, oh my goodness, I was flying. Then I went to ADSL and I was in heaven. Now I have my beautiful Comcast speeds. I was chatting with a tech person in Manila and they have 100Mbps speeds. I can't even begin to imagine what I could do with that. 8. As I said in another post, not everyone is getting those speeds. Even here in Chicago it is really sporadic. That's why I don't say anything. I don't want to upset the apple cart. Maybe Comcast knows who is bad-mouthing them and that is their way of getting back at them. :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 28083 Kbps about 28.08 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 3428 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 2762 Kbps about 2.8 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Upload Speed is:: 337 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/03/19 - 4:29am D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-JELPWMZ2O U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-TYP5Z0HXV User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.0.04506; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) [!]

  10. You've seen my speed tests and here's another one run right now at peak usage times in Chicago. It's 10:21 here. This is the 20Mbps test. :::.. 14. Nope, I'll run a longer download and show you it's not just powerboost. I should have done a screenshot yesterday with a big download I did. Lot's of people have been getting sustained downloads of way over their stated speeds. And then on the reverse side, lots of people aren't even getting powerboost. There's a guy in California who gets sustained downloads of over 20Mbps and he's on the 8/768 like I am. Don't ask why, it just happens.
  15. 17. I have the 8/768. Well, that's what I'm paying for, anyway. I don't ask Comcase questions because I don't want them to start investigating and mess up my speeds. LOL
  18. Yep, Comcast is doing a very nice job of keeping up. 19. Yeah, like who cares? Seems kind of slow tonight. Servers must be real busy.
  20. Great speeds there. I was out in Arizona last week and couldn't get those download speeds on Cox. Got the upload fine though. Maybe their computer needs some tweaking, but since it isn't mine, I didn't want to mess with it. LOL
  21. Looks good today, but last night the upload was horrible. The slowest speedtest I ran gave me 54Kbps on the upload. Download was normal though.
  22. Sorry if I offended you Tommie, I thought you had a sense of humor. I thought wrong I guess.
  23. granpa, shame on you. Just remember, you don't have to be HAPPY to be GAY.
  24. Mine's bigger than yours. (Upload/Download pipe that is)
  25. Well, it looks like it's here to stay. LOL
