Hey Lisa, I have Wildblue also and if I take my router off I get speeds in excess of !MB, put the router back on and it goes to 400-500kbs. Also I have found out if I test one minute it may be over 1Mbs and the next time two minutes later it is in the 600Kbs. I have called and talked to them and still have not got a god answer. I am looking forward to what they tell you. they have replaced modem three times , wiring twice and the antenna guts three times. It works fine for a couple days and then slowly slides off. Greetings All, I am on Wild blue bundled through DISH. When I run Test my net for up and down, I consistently get a lower number than either Speakeasy or Speedtest. . Last run was 656Kbs on Test my and 1014 Kbs and 1027Kbs. I believe the Test my net results are more accurate, but why such a large variance? Thanks for your help,

Have you tried calling tech support for the unit? I have had some issues with a DYNEX n router, Their support people have been very helpful, very courteous and solved my problems each and every time.

Help. I am on Dish's Wildblue satellite. I took the lowest tier to see how it would work, since I am way out in the country. So the advertised download speed is 500K and the up is 128K. I have yet to get close to the download speed they are talking about. If I understand the Testmy net narrative after test is run, ( see below) I am getting a hand shake with wildblue at 507K and a download of data at 62K. I have had Dish Wildblue guy out three times and today they replaced the modem, the cable from modem to antenna and replaced the thing (sorry for this technical term) on the antenna. They have repeatably check the alignment on the antenna and it is as good as they can get it. I am on a PC with XP 2002 with service pack 3, 1G of RAM, 100 G HD, I just bought a new IMAC and have ran it on this same connection and get the same kind of speeds.
