  1. I have a fairly consistent connection. My down speeds are in the 390 range and up is around 30. I usually check my speeds twice daily. I have COX Premier. Lately, about 10 days or so, my download test has frozen on the 3rd test. Also my up speeds have been very (single digits) slow. Using the ookla test everything looks fine. Any suggestions?
  2. I have been a member here since sometime in 2005. When I joined my speeds were much much lower then they are now. Is there a way to remove those first 10 years from my average?
  3. I've noticed a big drop off of my speeds using Edge. I really like the browser, but it is half as fast as Firefox.
  4. Yes, dramatically! After all the time I (and the Cox support people) spent trying to figure out what was wrong, one of their tier 2 support people re-provisioned the new modem/router and bang, it took off. The old modem was giving me consistent mid 90s and now the new modem is pretty much always above 200. It has been as high as 400! I'm not sure what a re-provisioning does that a simple reboot doesn't but I'm a believer. I can't stop running speed tests! https://testmy.net/stats/?&t=u&l=250&q=pete424
  5. Check out these monster numbers. I am paying $114.00 a month for Cox Ultimate! I was having a serious issue which as since been rectified. https://testmy.net/stats/?&t=u&d=12272016&x=1000&l=25&q=pete424
  6. I have Cox Ultimate internet and I have a question about expected speed and realistic speed. I had been using a Surfboard SB6141 docsis3 modem. I didn't realize nor did Cox tell me that this modem was not capable of sustaining the speeds expected with the Ultimate tier of service. My connection had been pretty consistently in the mid 90s down and I was not totally unhappy with that. However my connection had come to be a bit erratic and began dropping out particularly when streaming Netflix. They ran some of their remote tests and suggested I might need a new modem or router. My router was an

  9. Hulioni, Where are you located? I am in Andover and I don't believe my speeds are anywhere what yours are. I am on the Premier tier and I know we were supposed to get a bump yesterday to the 9 down, 1 up but I haven't tested my speeds.
  10. I installed the 24.95 program back in January with a fax line. For the first two months the service was flawless. Soon I began to notice that on outgoing calls, I could hear them but they could not hear me and the fax handshake was dropping connections. I was using the PAP phone adapter and the techs at Vonage sent me a Linksys 3 port router with two phone line interfaces (RT31P2). My problem continued. I even had the service people from Cox (my ISP) out to check things on my end. I have a VERY fast connection and everything here checked out fine. This problem was not constant, happenin
