  5. http://www.pricegrabber.com/rating_getprodrev.php/masterid=559175 Creative Nomad Jukebox 3--I'm thinking of buying one for recording live concerts ( I know what mics to buy), but the reviews vary SOOO much, I'm not sure. hmm...any one have one of these or have owned one of these? it looks cool, and I even know a guy who uses this to record live concerts, but I'm not sure. my main prob with getting an iPod is that they don't record, and that really pisses me off. anyway, thanks.

  15. only problem is that charter has no idea what the upload speed is going to be, which i kinda find to be b/s....hmm..
  16. well, it may just be that the technology is preventing then from going full guns at the same time...or (like me) when I use my upload all the way, and I'm on cable btw, it drastically slows down my download. i think it is the modem my self. I don't know waht modem you have, but if other people aren't having the same problem, it may just be your modem...umm, try verizon online support...here: http://www22.verizon.com/CustomerSupport/Anonymous/0%2C1190%2C%2C00.html check it out. try contacting them, maybe! indestructable

  19. "wally world"-my dad was once standing in line behind someone who was on their cell, and they were saying to the person on the other end "Yeah, I'm over here at Wally World". lol!! oh, btw, thanks for the added advice, packerfan1964, and welcome to the forums!
  20. yep. they're exactly the same cable. oh, and yeah, unless your pc REALLY likes USB, your gonna have slowdown problems. I had a ethernet 2 usb converter going from my modem (cable) into my pc (as usb, of course). I was getting about 2.0 or less on a 3.0mbps plan. I called up charter, and when I told the guy that I had that stupid thing in there, he was dumbstruck! "TAKE THAT THING OUT!" is pretty much how he put it. So, I did, and instantly, (with a little help from VB ), I had my 2.9-3.0 mbps connection back. go for ethernet, if at all possible. If your computer doesn't have an ethernet port in the back (I'm SURE it does though...), go to like Best Buy and get a PCI card for $20 and install it. Get rid of any usb that's between your modem and your computer. that's my suggestion anyway. hope that helps (someone ) indestructable
  21. so, well, my parents got mad at me for trying it, got all worried about it messing up the 'family computer', and told me pretty much that they were going ot buy some. So, I went and decided to count it, it's 84 pins on both sides (168 total), and my pc takes 184 pin ram. :angry5: so, I started to research ram, and I found some pretty good deals, now it's up to my parents! unless someone wants to send me a stick of 184 pin ram? I'd be happy to take it off your hands for you, possibly free up some pen space on your desk?
  22. nice motto!! that's how I feel too. I'll probably do it tonight, but you just gotta have the right number of pins..this memory is Micron brand, but no one can tell me how many pins it is...I guess I'll count them!
  23. so how exactly do you do a cached test again? edit: made it easier to understand by fixing quote error... and spelling...
