yeah, I did update it. That's what I thought, though it was doing that before I updated the firmware. But it only does this on wireless as I said, the wired has no problems at all.

I have a D-Link DGL-4300 wireless router, and when I try a speedtest, or try to download any file it will freeze, but won't restart the router. And doesn't start downloading the file again. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

I just got the premium service from roadrunner, unfortuantly my router doesn't go very well with the testmy.net testing. I'll try flat file testing in a second, but from the atalanta server on speakesy.net I get Last Result: Download Speed: 12281 kbps (1535.1 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 947 kbps (118.4 KB/sec transfer rate) The upload is a little off, but the download is higher. Also it's the same price as standard for a year.

Mine's worse, usually around 500Kbps, and 1Mbps upload. But today it's only 100Kbps down, and 800Kbps up. Everyone playing lan games, etc. It's too slow, takes too much time to do anything.

haha, I agree. Don't really like the heat. It's too much. But I still get to go back there for the summers. So it's nice. I might move back there, it's got everything there (except wal-mart) have to go over the bridge for that, because it just so happens that one of the main political people there owns mid cape home centers.

nice, my school is on fl.us also. Florida high school. but fastest I had was 2mbit down, and 2 mbit up. says we have a dual T-1 but they split it out a lot and onto many many wireless routers, not to mention the people wasting bandwidth on lan games, and people hosting servers for games etc. now that it's this slow, we might get a 45mbit T-3 connection. would be nice

http://servers.aplus.net/standardxr.html is a pretty good deal, I don't use them so don't know about their data centers, or speeds. Looks pretty good though. http://dreamhost.com/dedicated/ they offer virtual, and normal dedicated. They weren't very good before, pretty unstable. But it's much better now.

My P4 laptop was on for 6 weeks, but I left it on the couch, and it overheated shut itself down.

I meant 10 bucks for 10mbps to 20mbps, and 135 bucks for 20 to 30mbps.
