I think a lot of people would like to know the answer to that one. I've heard and read a ton of speculation on the question, but never heard an answer that made any sense. Glad I don't have to deal with that Horse Stuff on DSL. Still, I'd like to know if ever I'm forced to switch.

The 3360 is over provisioning at the Verizon CO/RT to help offset some of the inherit losses and overhead. If they provisioned at 3000, you would probably yield ~2.5 MB instead. Be happy, your looking good with that excellent score. Sadly no one gets the full 3MB. HTH

Single layer DVD, 4.7 GB is as good as it gets. Get a dual layer burner for more. Prepare for hefty prices for the media. Lots of folks seem to like it. Your another endorsement for it. Anything is safer on the Web these days than that Damn IE. I'm cheap, so I switched to FF for free.

Fingers crossed and hoping for the best. If NASA looses another orbiter I'm afraid it would severely curtail if not end the US space program. With only 5 years and another 20 missions left in this design before a replacement is in place. Another disaster would immediately bring calls to pull funding out from under a new vehicle. An FYI if your referring to VERIZON DSL it's ~ 50/50, Old ex-BA is PPPoE, Old ex-GTE is DHCP, Caveat SOME of the Newest DSL enabled ex-GTE areas are Rumored to be PPPoE. Example, I'm old school ex-GTE with DSL I have DHCP. HTH
