  2. actually time to ditch sbc and their lagging-behind-other-isp-speeds

their so-called "Project Lightspeed" should be called "Project Delay" because its never coming : its been cut back due to prices so who knows when we will see it  :x

can any 1 help my nig here comon

i know ppl gotaa sleep but comon

can u please stop the "gangsta" attitude? i see it so much it gets old, fast.

he is also on the 1.5mb sbc yahoo plan, tell him to switch ISPs, that will solve the slow speed problem :haha:

    EDIT: VanBuren, he has 1500/384

and you wont really be able to increase your upload, your gettn just about the right amount

  4. fastest connection i had was when comcast was goin around 400kb/sec..man i remember when i was on 1.5mb comcast and i got downloads of 222kb/s =P

the fastestest connection i ever tested was a 45mbps (t3) connection from my dads work.  it was a dslr though, not here : (i didnt kno about this site then)

i dont remember the speeds, i just remember thinking "Wow, this is faster than my 1.5mbps comcast line" lol =P

  5. ya i was about to post about that RAM except that i saw the 1gb thing at the end you put and i thought good job! i like that vid card in there, it will do good. shoulda got a dvd burner to though, but u got a nice laptop, i wish i had it =P my laptop sucks..

    P3 800mhz

    256mb RAM

    some 32mb ATi card..

    Dual 20gb hdd 5,400rpm

    15 inch screen

    some kind of Dell Latitude

    Windows 2000 Professional

all i use for is browsing so it gets tha job done =D

  6. Ya, my net comes from time warner in tampa. Tampa has fios avaliable.. but i dont.... lol..Figures :(

ill never be able to get FiOS cause verizon aint even in my area at home! but once SBC rolls out tha vdsl or fiber or w.e in my area (little rock, arkansas) im gonna own yall! im guessin it will be here by the beginnin of next year, im thinkin earlier tho! they started tests already in oconomowoc, wisconsin (actually papse farms, a suburb of oconomowoc) and im in milwaukee right now! so its close but no cigar :

  7. i cant get on AIM cause well dun feel like explainin it, (well i can, but i can only get on very rarely till im back in AR)  but at my house in AR my bro left the comp on and it he was idle for 31days but the internet had gone out and automatically reconnected and i looked and it showed him online for 7 days and idle for 38days..not a glitch there though..looks like the internet went out and it was out longer than AIM would allow to reconnect so it nvr reconnected : lol

  8. i dont like PPPoE because when i would set up linux boxes it asked for all this info that i did not like to get, and half the time it wouldnt work because well just it didnt lol - i MUCH rather prefer DHCP..you keep your IP longer in DHCP (which i like for doin something wit servers) and in PPPoE it changed everytime u log in :

  9. if we all lived in japan u could get a 100mbit line for around 26 or so USD/month

of u could get  a 1gbps line for i think around 70 a month, but it takes a LONG time to install, so you get 100mbps until the full 1gbps is in, i think its called BFlets or something...i could be completely wrong tho.  usen.ad.jp is the 100mbit for 26 or w.e /month USD. that would ROCK!

  10. Can you see the date by hovering your mouse over the clock in the task bar?

lol i remembered that right after i posted, but i didnt have time to edit my post or nothin cause i had to go to my next class, but ya i just hovered the mouse ova and it showed tha date =P
