I've never heard of Dubmail, but checking out the site I decided that I don't want it. I'll stick with my 8 GMail accounts with room for 400 more.... if anyone would like one send me a message.

where are you located at Pacmantravis?

can you post how far away from your CO you are?

See CA3LE, i have adelphia, but ive heard of problems with getting your internet transferred when you move, so I got a 50 day free trial of AOL, in case my adelphia took a long time to get transferred, but it didnt so:-)
-
Took me 25 minutes, haha. It was horrible, the representative was actually real nice about it. Listing all the feautes of AOL 9.0 Optimized .. blah blah blah. After about 20 minutes of trying to convince her, i finally just said, transfer me to a representative who will actually do what i want and not try to convince me of stuff i dont want or need. That got her.

After reading all the horror stories of moving and getting your internet moved with you(both here and at DSLR) I had prepared for the worst ( i had activated a free 50 day trial of AOHell). But surprisingly everything was fine. The adelphia guy came out and hooked us up at the pole and boom, we're online and TV looks great. Just thought to share my experiance and I have cancelled the 50 day free trial of AOHell)

Hey and welcome to the forum Hachi_Roku.
Go into the Make it Faster! section of the forum and click on VanBuren's post, should be the first or second one. Try the steps mentioned there first. Then try CableNut(similar to DrTCP) and post your results here. You should be running at about 1.3-1.4Mbps for your connection. Try those steps out and let us know:D

The Scientific Atlanta modems are sweet, Cox is using them in the 9/1 and 15/2 test areas I believe. Motorola Surfboard 5100 or a 5120 are also good ones.
-
Follow VanBuren's steps, but, if your capped at 128kbps, then the only thing you can do is sign up for a higher speed.
-
Totally Agree with dlewis, although when I called Adelphia, women I spoke with said Extreme doesn't exist
-
Plus the built in proxy, I don't think DWay and any VoIP works right....

Im just taking a guess here, but im guessing no more than 30 a month. But I could be wrong, I live far far away from SBC Territory

not totally sure, a Dual Wan Router may do the trick, but then again, i can't justify spending 200+ on a router.
-
not much you can do, close to your caps.
Call and ask if you can get a higher speed
-
that is so not cool

Yep, I was so thrilled to get DirecWay... then adelphia came to town . Anyway, once you start browsing forums like this and see VanBuren posting his download and upload speeds you will want more... I know I already do

For the 384-1.5/128-384 your speeds look very good. Maybe could do a little better on your download, but overall, be happy, those speeds are close to the cap
Oh and Welcome to the Forum.
