Hey here is one for you guys to ponder. I have a Dlink 614+ wireless router with 2.20 firmware installed. My wireless speed is faster then my wired speed!?! I have two computers on the wireless part both are running 2056kbs on testmy.net and have an Rwin value of 17520. My wired computer has an Rwin value of 51000 and is slow as hell for a wire computer. I would expect to be faster then the wireless computers. Correct?? I am running about 2026kbs at the current settings. I have tried

VanBuren's guide to tweeking the Rwin. No sucess. A little help would be great. I am on COMCAST.

Here are my test results for my wired computer with an rwin value of 17520

::: Download Stats :::

Connection is: 2043 kbps about 2 Mbps (tested with 1496 KB)

Download Speed is: 249 Kb/sec

Auth Code: 2030646 (validate a http://www.testmy.net)

Bottom Line: 36 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 4 second(s)

Validation Link :: https://testmy.net/cgi-bin/auth_check.cgi?num=2030646&kbps=2043&gen=gen&a=1.71428571428571&b=0&c=1145.14285714286

Sounds real strange that your wired pc is slower, the only possible thing that i can think of is that you have some sort of problem in that pc, nothing to do with your connection to internet. If you have lack of RAM or in other way slow pc you can try to use Cacheman its free to try http://www.outertech.com, one other thing you can test is to defrag your hard drive. and last thing possible is that you got some hardware problem with your Network card, have you tryed to tweak that?

Swimmer,

I agree with VanBuren something strange must be happening with the pc, try those basics that were suggested and let us know.....good luck!
