richcornucopia Posted January 11, 2006 CID Share Posted January 11, 2006 If you're talking about a satelite internet connection you should look at direcway, starband, or wildblue, idk about 40 bucks though.

FGOKURULES Posted January 12, 2006 CID Share Posted January 12, 2006 Dude There are 40 dollar sat. connections now? I thought they were at least in the 60's and even with the satelite it's darn close to the first generation Adsl modem speeds right?
tdawnaz Posted January 12, 2006 CID Share Posted January 12, 2006 i just found this site last nite...it even has a review of satellite connections from an installers point of view... http://www.hispeedanywhere.com not sure what they charge tho...i missed that part i guess. also just now i found... http://www.vsat-systems.com and http://www.bentleytelecom.co.uk and this one is interesting http://www.mobileinternet.bz or check the left column on this page u might find something there...i don't have satellite so i don't know anything about that type of connection or these sites or the service they provide...just do ur homework. there is actually a thread on this forum for satellite members... for dway http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?board=21.0 for starband http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?board=34.
FGOKURULES Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 Who in there rite minds would pay $150 for a broadband connection? If i had to pay a $150 it better come with a web hosting, a hefty 50Mb/10Mb connection and 5Gb of email storage.. and thats bare minimum..... i2d | ScruFFy | Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 ^^^^^^^ knows nothing about top end connections , still has residential comcast. your not getting 50/10 for 150 anytime in next 10 years that wont have bandwidth contracts . lol :haha:
resopalrabotnick Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 as much as i hate to admit it, i have to agree with scruffy on this one. now say something controversial at least so i can get back to trolling.
FGOKURULES Posted January 14, 2006 CID Share Posted January 14, 2006 So your saying a 50Mb/10Mb connection doesn't exist or isn't in anyones reach? Try Vdsl asshole,, I KNOW you can't get that with cable... I was just implying that I would never pay $150 for a Sattelite connection that won't even give me the speeds of a adsl...
