Bird Fan Posted January 22, 2006 CID Share Posted January 22, 2006 Opera always has higher memory usage if there's flash or java running...
WebUser Posted January 22, 2006 CID Share Posted January 22, 2006 Is Opera browser a memory hog or is this like normal? I opened cnn.com on IE, Mozilla, and Opera. Memory Usage firefox.exe 14,380 K IEXPLORE.exe 13,704 K Opera.exe 25,928 K Opera has a Mail Client that opens with the main program [actually a part of the browser, plus a few other goodies, so that may be what you're seeing. I know there's no built in email client in IE, not sure about FF.
Decade Posted January 22, 2006 Author CID Share Posted January 22, 2006 I just have plain Opera, no add ons or anything. Is there a way to sort of disable the mail client or anything like that to conserve memory usage?
