calumetbud Posted January 28, 2006 CID Share Posted January 28, 2006 i'm using windows xp corporete version: my isp is wild blue: supposed to have 1500 down and 256 up I do have cablenut installed Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) Notes: Read the Analyzer FAQ if the above is not your IP address. TCP options string = 020405b4010303000101080a01f8312900000000 MTU = 1500 MTU is fully optimized for broadband. MSS = 1460 Maximum useful data in each packet = 1448, which is less than MSS because of Timestamps, or other TCP/IP options used. Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 65535 RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits Unscaled Receive Window = 65535 Note: TCP 1323 Options need to be enabled for RWIN over 2^16 (65535). Windows 9x might also need the MS Vtcp386 fix. For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS. Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS: 513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4) 128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2) 64240 (MSS x 44) bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test): Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2621.4 kbps (327.675 KBytes/s) @ 200ms Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1048.56 kbps (131.07 KBytes/s) @ 500ms MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON Time to live left = 53 hops TTL value is ok. Jodokast96 Posted January 29, 2006 CID Share Posted January 29, 2006 1426 down on a 1500 connection is good. Your up sucks, however. In CableNut, try setting the DefaultSendWindow to 64240 and see if it helps.
trogers Posted January 29, 2006 CID Share Posted January 29, 2006 Try this ccs file.
tommie gorman Posted January 29, 2006 CID Share Posted January 29, 2006 Might try a larger file, will show true results. Looks normal speed but might still be slow. Try 2992 file download.

Jodokast96 Posted January 29, 2006 CID Share Posted January 29, 2006 Try opening up CableNut again, but only change the second on, DefaultSendWindow. Change it to 64240. Your down is great (don't know how you're getting it, though), but the up might be able to be improved a little more.
