wrc Posted February 3, 2006 CID Share Posted February 3, 2006 I'm trying to help my dear old mum sort out a computer issue long distance. She cant forward on Joke type emails, silly .jpg's, .Wmv files etc Any plain text emails are fine, but she cant forward pretty much anything. I cant think of any Outlook express settings that would do this? She's got XP home Tiscali broadband Norton anti-virus

FallowEarth Posted February 3, 2006 CID Share Posted February 3, 2006 Its probably the Norton. Have her disable email scanning. You may need to delete and recreate the account.
Earthsignal Posted February 4, 2006 CID Share Posted February 4, 2006 If Outlook Express is set at default that most likely is the problem. Look at TOOLS/SECURITY and you will find the settings restrict HTML mail and attachments. These can be changed but are set that way to protect people that don't have a clue.
