trogers Posted February 11, 2006 CID Share Posted February 11, 2006 You may be having electromagnetic interference affecting your signal lines or devices. First, make sure you keep your router and modem a few feet apart. They have been known to affect each other. Then redo your speedtests again. |3v|lon3| Posted February 11, 2006 CID Share Posted February 11, 2006 TRUE but the speed test your testing from is in america..
trogers Posted February 11, 2006 CID Share Posted February 11, 2006 The reason why testing speeds at far away sites do not show optimum performance is that signals from your comp have to travel through many internediate routers (called 'hops"). This will increase time delay and subject to unknown traffic jams at the intermediate routers. The better way is to test at websites nearer to you.
