Tbrown Posted February 12, 2006 CID Share Posted February 12, 2006 Geez and I thought it was just ME! I contacted the Dway support and they said it was NOTHING on their end. So I reinstalled the software and that didn't help, and now I just got done doing a system recovery..which didn't help much either lol!! Bird Fan Posted February 12, 2006 CID Share Posted February 12, 2006 They're probably trying to get you guys to switch to the 7000's. I would consider making a law suit of some sort.
Tbrown Posted February 12, 2006 CID Share Posted February 12, 2006 Ya I think you might be right Bird Fan...They wanted to know what model I was using and I told them 4000, and their additudes changed! Almost like they didn't want to help!! You still pay the same price, I don't see why they would care. There aren't that many users on the 4000 anymore, just let them be. You guys are suffering with your uploads anyway, you deserve more speed.

But I also have read that some of the 7000 on SatMex 5 are having the same problems also
Tbrown Posted February 12, 2006 CID Share Posted February 12, 2006 For me, it runs fine for about 5mins, and then it'll just "die", the lights on the modem stops flashing and I can't get any site up. I'll restart the computer and it'll run fine for another 5mins or so...and it'll just quit again! Hard to tell which end the problem's on! We have to unplug the modem wait 30 sec. then plug it back in. Thanks though I did that. to reset it already. I cleaned my computer and ran a on-line spyware and a virus detector. So I know that I am clean. I also redid the web setup. Also I redid my SatSpeed settings. I did every thing that they would have told me. Been on Sat. for 5 yrs now. I think I know some tricks first be for I call them. But you probably will guess that they would try to get me to do every thing again. They will probably will try to get me to go to their web site to run a speed test to try to verify. We will see tomarrow. I'll keep you all updayed on the status. jkandra Posted February 14, 2006 Author CID Share Posted February 14, 2006 Even my browser is opening up faster. I told the that I didn't have a problem much with my downloads as I am having problems with my web pages opening very slow. The next thing is that she told me to wait for a min. and then she came back and then told me to open a web page and everything started to open up a lot faster. I new that it was on their end but they would not admit it. They just want you to go through all the diagnostics to see if it is on your end first. I am glad that every thing is working good now. Now watch, that I said that everything will going to go to H*LL. I hope not.
