Firefox 2 alpha 1

yeah alpha 1 is going to be extremely unstable... but they move pretty quick once it is out to fix bugs and get the next build out.. I remember when 1.5 was just starting.. there were huge memory leaks.. by RC1 everything was pretty stable and you could use it as a full time browser..

If you cant wait til Friday for the offical release..  NOTE: I know it says Tuesday.. but they changed their meeting notes last week and now it says Friday..

Did a test with both 1.5 and the "unofficial" 2.0

For the Download test:

1.5:

Connection is:: 723 Kbps about 0.7 Mbps (tested with 386 kB)

Download Speed is:: 88 kB/s

Test Time:: 2006/03/20 - 1:03pm

Bottom Line:: 13X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 11.64 sec

Tested from a 386 kB file and took 4.375 seconds to complete
