FiosFiend Posted April 1, 2006 CID Share Posted April 1, 2006 I wish this were true but I know it's not. This is NOT a cached result either. I cleared my cache before running this test. I've gotten this kind of result from the smarttest a couple of times in the last couple of days. I tested with mirranda right after this it correctly clocked my speed at 15Mbps. I'm on the 15/2 fios plan. Is there something going on with the testmy download test? I'm not getting any weird results from the upload test. :::.. FiosFiend Posted April 2, 2006 Author CID Share Posted April 2, 2006 Can you reach stable speeds of > 2MB/s on other downloads? I'd say I'm averaging about 2MBps or less overall. RTB Posted April 2, 2006 CID Share Posted April 2, 2006 Tough one. If you're on an average of 2 MB/s, it could either be normal or too far above normal. So, either testmy.net's fault or Verizon's. Could you give a more exact maximum, without burst preferably. Link to comment https://testmy.net/ipb/topic/12438-i-wish/#findComment-131619 Share on other sites
FiosFiend Posted April 3, 2006 Author CID Share Posted April 3, 2006 The max download I've ever achieved is about 1900kB/s. I just tested again with the main testmy download test and got this. :::..
