Tomer Posted April 7, 2006 CID Share Posted April 7, 2006 Hello, We have a wireless network in our home for internet and file sharing [also printer sharing], so all the computers can sent files to print on the main computer. My question is that can we share sound drivers so all the wireless computers can control the music played on the main computer and that? Thanks - Tomer

disturbed Posted April 7, 2006 CID Share Posted April 7, 2006 instead of that u can use simple remote desktop software - and it won't give you any lag since you are on your own network
php Posted April 7, 2006 CID Share Posted April 7, 2006 You could listen to music stored on the main computer from another.. if you want to control the computer look into using a program like RealVNC
Swimmer Posted April 7, 2006 CID Share Posted April 7, 2006 there is a way to do this.. VLC can do what I think you want.. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ The last time I used it you could setup channels.. you can also try ShoutCast... http://www.shoutcast.com/download/ then vnc in to control the music.. If this is over wifi.. it is not going to be all that much fun! you are going to get shutter due to bandwidth limitations.. I tried DVD over this and it would work fine to one computer.. but trying to go to 2 was impossible..
