CaptainSauce Posted April 13, 2006 CID Share Posted April 13, 2006 OKAY, so im ticked. Im at my friends and im trying to connect to my house computer. The VNC server at my house and here are running Port 5900 (main) and 80 (HTTP). I can connect BUT when the screen to load my computer comes up, it goes heywire and tons of screens are continuously being processed saying 'please wait...initial screen loading' http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i314/CaptainSauce/DANGIT.jpg thats what it looks like, im confused on what to do. P.S. Sorry to be constantly posting about this.
DJVageli Posted April 13, 2006 CID Share Posted April 13, 2006 I think it works better if you install the client part of vnc on the computer your at...I have tried the web part...and I get those screens too..the client works much better
CaptainSauce Posted April 13, 2006 Author CID Share Posted April 13, 2006 where can i get the 'client' ?
DJVageli Posted April 13, 2006 CID Share Posted April 13, 2006 If you have vnc installed on the computer, instead of selecting vnc server...select vnc viewer, type the WAN or public IP of the computer you want to connect to and the password if enabled..then connect...trust me,it works much better than the java based web viewer. Now im heading home from school....tell me how it goes
php Posted April 14, 2006 CID Share Posted April 14, 2006 You don't have to install anything... just copy the program directory to a flash drive and run it from there
