sounds like the core duo is a sweet piece of kit. (if those numbers are true) the benchmarks on the apple site comparing the new core duo equiped boxes with the old powerpc ones look pretty slick too.

btw, that 20" iMac is awesome. i wants one. (but with options it's on the far side of 2k.bucks. ouch.)

Just saw the D805 2.66ghz dual core can go up to 4.1ghz.. $129 chip out preforms anything else on the market.   Take a look at tom's hardware that is where I found the article..

the only problem is that it requires a $200 + motherboard to get those types of seed and it looks like the new DDR2 memory running at really high speeds.. but it would be a cool project for someone who is looking to build a new computer..

for the money that you have to put into it, i don't see the benefit.
