FallowEarth Posted May 10, 2006 CID Share Posted May 10, 2006 What are you advertised speeds, dirtysanchez? (love the name! ) Looks like you may need to look into a bit more than just cablenut. Please read the sticky: http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-2097 Cablenut guide is found here: http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013
dirtysanchez Posted May 10, 2006 Author CID Share Posted May 10, 2006 my advertised speeds are 786k/256k (i had 5mb/2mb before but was too expensive) i just want to boost my internet a few kbs if possible =)
FallowEarth Posted May 10, 2006 CID Share Posted May 10, 2006 Your speeds are perfect then. I wouldn't touch a thing. You might even see a bit better speeds if you find a MIRROR for which you have a really nice download route from. But you are reaching your advertised speeds nicely. FallowEarth Posted May 10, 2006 CID Share Posted May 10, 2006 It's possible If you're up for trying it out, that's awesome. I'd suggest using cablenut. Just back up your registry first. Tinker around with some of VanBuren's custom files, or even some settings of your own. If you have specific questions, post back and we'll help you out as best as we can. ROM-DOS Posted May 10, 2006 CID Share Posted May 10, 2006 unfortunatly dirtysanchez, with some things ~ it's all in the timing! [different times during the our 24 hr cycle = different speeds] . . .be happy!!
php Posted May 10, 2006 CID Share Posted May 10, 2006 even if you could get it, it wouldn't be noticable...
