MttFrog13 Posted May 22, 2006 CID Share Posted May 22, 2006 Isn't there a way of getting past a surf control in a school or library by creating a proxy or something at home?

Swimmer Posted May 22, 2006 CID Share Posted May 22, 2006 you could set up a vpn it looks like.. I doubt proxy would work in this case.. as it looks like this acts as a web proxy on a server so all out bound traffic has to go through it.. If they have the VPN protocols allows then VPN would be fairly easy to setup on a windows box at home and then at school.. assuming the other machines are not restricted by user policies.. see post above.. Swimmer Posted May 28, 2006 CID Share Posted May 28, 2006 well yes.. it is a cat and mouse game.. might want to be careful taking servers offline.. that would land you in jail.. or atleast a fine.
dlewis23 Posted May 28, 2006 CID Share Posted May 28, 2006 do a google search for a anonymous browser, that will work, as long as the domain that is being used is not blocked.
