Zombievac Posted June 10, 2006 CID Share Posted June 10, 2006 Hello, I live in Newmarket, a town in southern New Hampshire. We pay for the higher speed tier on our cable service, which at the time, was advertised as 6 Mb down instead of the normal 5Mb. Well, soon after we got it we noticed the speed went up to over 8 Mb/s speed, this is in multiple tests on multiple sites on different days and weeks. I confirmed with others on this board that they seemed to upgraded recently to the same speed. Recently however, after doing tests on this site and 2 other sites, i'm noticing our connection consistently scores between 12.5 and 15 Mb/s... over 1.6 megaBYTES a second! Has anyone else been upgraded like this recently? Maybe comcast is unrolling it in areas wto compete with FIOS? We only pay 52.95 a month for this speed! On good servers I download files at 1.5 or more Megabytes a second. I love my Fibre-speed cable connection!
