Swimmer Posted July 8, 2006 CID Share Posted July 8, 2006 why not just get an extra hard drive.. i saw some 200+ gb drives for under $50 this past weekend in the ads.. then set up a network share on a windows machine..

Swimmer Posted July 8, 2006 CID Share Posted July 8, 2006 then why would you need an external drive? If it is to store personal stuff set up user accounts on the storage box.

Planatoid Posted July 13, 2006 CID Share Posted July 13, 2006 Just for future reference, it's usually cheaper to wait for a nice deal on an IDE HDD and then just buy an enclosure for it. That way, you don't get stuck with some crappo generic HDD that get used a lot.
