Guest aerodude Posted July 30, 2006 CID Share Posted July 30, 2006 I have hosting for a site. When going www.mysite.com/cpanel I always get "The connection was reset" I e-mail my hosting they told me to make sure the port 2082 is unblocked. I have no idea how to do this. I'm pretty sure its direcway, not letting me access my site.
disturbed Posted July 30, 2006 CID Share Posted July 30, 2006 if you can access the website, you should be able to access the cpanel if it was configured correctly....it really has nothing to do with you opening your port since you are connecting to a server computer
disturbed Posted July 30, 2006 CID Share Posted July 30, 2006 2082 is a default port used for cpanel - your host would have to make sure it is working correctly...if anyone should open up a port, it should be the server computer
