wingzero2309 Posted August 12, 2006 CID Share Posted August 12, 2006 I reformatted my computer and before when connecting to the internet, i could connect directly to the router. Now, it connects me through a "Internet Gateway". I have no idea how to get rid of this 'gateway', as it's causing problems and makes some sites load very slow. How do i get rid of this "Internet Gateway" and just make it go back to how it was before? see attached picture:

Swimmer Posted August 12, 2006 CID Share Posted August 12, 2006 I am pretty sure that it "installs" itself when you set up your internet settings for the first time.. I forget how to remove it. This may do the trick.. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;821980&Product=winxp have you installed sp2 yet?
