Guest kamil234 Posted August 24, 2006 CID Share Posted August 24, 2006 Well, ever since i reformatted my computer (for like the 6th time) whenever i play games online they seem to lag..not like internet lag, but computer lag...like hardware lag, whenever i pla, everything is fine and than the game just stops for like 10 seconds and than it keeps going..its really annoying i play diablo2 lod, it never lagged before like it does now samething is happening with GuildWars, i know my computer sucks but..with minimal settings it should be able to play diablo2 at least easily, guildwars doesnt have that much requirements either tho.. i'm using a p4 1.6ghz 512 ram 64mb nvidia card

justinlay Posted August 24, 2006 CID Share Posted August 24, 2006 you could check and see if your video card is trying to overheat. Even what dlewis23 said check and see you have your drivers up to date.

cholla Posted August 24, 2006 CID Share Posted August 24, 2006 kamil234;If you did the kind of reformat that wipes the HD clean & installs Windows like new then you are running on the stock windows drivers. If anything (hardware, etc) needs a newer driver or one the Windows doesn't have & opts for the best standard driver it does have. The there's the problem..If it is a video card overheating problem then the drivers won't help & That's the place to look.Or if you have a temp sensor on the video card check it.
