superawe Posted September 18, 2006 CID Share Posted September 18, 2006 I have heard some rumors from around town of some people are being upgraded from 6mb to 12mb and 8mb to 16mb. Can anyone confirm this?

superawe Posted September 18, 2006 Author CID Share Posted September 18, 2006 I am not sure about that. We have been experiencing strange speed and connectivity issues in the Tallahassee area. Lots of people reporting fast speeds in the morning, then coming to a standstill at night (8mb plans at 1mb speeds). Lots of people reporting packet loss (whom never had a problem before and no hardware/system changes at their end). We are hoping the major degradtions in our region is due to them upgrading, but who knows.

AlucardHS Posted September 18, 2006 CID Share Posted September 18, 2006 OK here is the thing. Comcast is trying to keep up with Verizion FiOS. So the comcast customers that are in the states were FiOS is available, Comcast is going to double your speed. And no its not the power boost. Comcast is trying to keep up with verizon FiOS.
