starship_troopers Posted November 3, 2006 CID Share Posted November 3, 2006 hi, i downloaded the font "resident evil" and "blade 2" from www.dafont.com and a few other fonts....all the other fonts work fine, but resident evil and blade 2 fonts wont show up. any ideas how to make them work? i extracted them to C:WindowsFonts edit..... ok i have fixed it as best i could. i had to create a new pathway for gimp to look for fonts. sorry, i guess mods can delete this if necessary, starship troopers Link to comment https://testmy.net/ipb/topic/16198-cant-get-gimp-to-install-a-new-font/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

starship_troopers Posted November 4, 2006 Author CID Share Posted November 4, 2006 imm on my desktop now but sure, i went to preferences under file, then went to the fonts section and added the path "C:WindowsFonts" and restarted gimp and every font that was in the windows fonts folder was available to me in gimp.
