tommie gorman Posted December 5, 2006 CID Share Posted December 5, 2006 Man, that TCP Optimizer must be something. Kidding. Glad you have decent speeds finally.
toast6977 Posted December 5, 2006 CID Share Posted December 5, 2006 I just did the TCP Optimizer, and I *think* i did it right, i just slid the bar over to 10000kbps, and clicked the "optimal" radio button at the bottom and clicked apply, and my speeds increased. We shall see.. I suppose if nothing else I can always restore my backup. What do you guys think, did I do it right?
coknuck Posted December 5, 2006 CID Share Posted December 5, 2006 Yes you did it right as long as you rebooted.
toast6977 Posted December 5, 2006 CID Share Posted December 5, 2006 Yes you did it right as long as you rebooted. I did. Cool, I just wasn't sure, I'm not a total newb at pc's, but with tweaking I am... good to hear I didn't screw something up.
coknuck Posted December 5, 2006 CID Share Posted December 5, 2006 The TCP Optimizer is hard to screw up as long as you follow all the prompts.

It did for me anyway. Glad you found it. Nah, if your speeds increased you will probably never go to your back up. One of the first things I do on a reformat is put my TCP back. So by Thursday you might almost be hitting 10megs. Lucky dog.
