Swimmer Posted December 5, 2006 CID Share Posted December 5, 2006 I think a port needs to be forwarded.. It is port 3389 for Remote Assistance.. So you need to build a rule on your router to forward any traffic on port 3389 to the computer that you want to have this service.
dlewis23 Posted December 5, 2006 CID Share Posted December 5, 2006 you have to forward port 3380 like swimmer said. the westell 327w has a very good firewall and will not let anything in unless you tell it too.

I was trying to remote assist my sister at howard who installed some spyware on her laptop. lol but anyway do u think its me, or her. the university might have a firewall, but i kno howard doesnt for p2p. i have encountered this problem also when trying to help friends who all have verizon's wetell modems or gatewats so hopefully howard doesnt have a firewall on it. but anyway i will get back to u and let u kno if it works.
