OnLoOkEr0070 Posted December 8, 2006 CID Share Posted December 8, 2006 nope i am on the basic speed package. if you read dsl reports, it shows that mediacom did an update, but it depends where you live. I live like couple miles from their station.

tommie gorman Posted December 12, 2006 CID Share Posted December 12, 2006 Yep, those look like satelite speeds. Satelite folks are unhappy campers everyday. Yeah it is slow at those speeds. Hope it gets better for you. Unless we are actually camping.

Check from this source: (http://broadbandoverpowerlines.blogspot.com) Hopefully, your utility company will offer this service in the nearest future. Hey I am watching out for it. Anything would beat 50 kbps U/L. The solid D/L would also be nice. And 5/5 for $28.95 would kick ass. Hope my coop catches on soon. Deltamusic Posted January 6, 2007 Author CID Share Posted January 6, 2007 Ya that is worth watching. I found this place ... Established in 2003 for BPL; ISP Services Since 1995. tommie gorman Posted January 6, 2007 CID Share Posted January 6, 2007 Yeah, it should take off like a field fire, heck, who in the country does not have copper wires. DSL is taking too long for me. And satelite is getting old. Can't get much done til late at night. My kids only remember who or where I am when they want something. Deltamusic Posted January 22, 2007 Author CID Share Posted January 22, 2007 When I started this thread I was shocked at the upload speeds however that only lasted a few days. Now it should be called "slower downloads again" I don't know what happened to the Hosts Stats for mchsi.com but if you try to verify everything is Gone from the db. Any other Mediacom users having that problem?
dlewis23 Posted January 22, 2007 CID Share Posted January 22, 2007 have you done spyware/virus scannes on your computer in safe mode?
Beewoodbee Posted January 23, 2007 CID Share Posted January 23, 2007 This is really bad service from Mediacom. I found a lot of "Mediacom Sucks" web pages when I ran a Google. Is there a reason that my test results say that my speed is "Great"??
tommie gorman Posted January 23, 2007 CID Share Posted January 23, 2007 Welcome to the forum Beewoodbee What are your advertised speeds, the speeds they said you should expect with it? So that is your upload?
Deltamusic Posted April 10, 2007 Author CID Share Posted April 10, 2007 Here is a Speed test link that the mchsi tech gave me. Pretty good http://myvoipspeed.visualware.com/va/index.html Test your connection for VoIP connection quality, see your broadband speeds, test bandwidth performance
