Have you entered the complete number and correctly? You may need to use the debit card for a deposit to be made. As I remember for verification I had to list my checking account number and Paypal made 2 very small deposits into it and I had to report the size of the deposits back to Paypal. Luckily I believe I got to keep the 7 or 9 cent total.
