San Diego TW/RR still suffering

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Am I alone here in North County, San Diego, the Time Warner, RoadRunner nightmare?

Ex-Adelphia Cable... etc.. etc.. the ping is so bad today I am unable to particiapte in flying online today. I get booted from servers because of my horrible ping.

TW/RR still refuses to get us fixed here in my area. We were left out in the cold while they repair the the rest of the subscribers throughout the USA. I hope we are members of the Class Action Lawsuit that was filed in Los Angeles against TW/RR. Nothing but cutouts, dropouts, extremely bad pings, packet loss... crap speeds...

anyone else here that's in my area? (North County, San Diego) Carlsbad is the TW/RR office for my area.

Also, How is your TW Cable TV service? TV part of it running ok? My TW TV also has problems with dropouts, also drouputs in sounds on some channels. I have digital cable too.

RR speeds are 3900 down/ 384 up.

Compare withis with those lucky enough to get Cox Cable, and we are getting the huge bone... We are getting crapped on..

  • 2 weeks later...

Furious with the crap service from Time Warner Road Runner.

see the miserable lag, ping, cutouts and this has gone on since late last year when we went from Adelphia to TW/RR. They continue to lie saying they will fix it. The class action lawsuit does not faze the criminals running TW/RR.

See my attached snapshot..

The tech cut off most of the cable connections starting from the street cable box and moving into the house. Put new cable connectors in the attic too. Picked up up to 6 db of signal strength I was loosing. It looks much better now. The speeds are stil at 3900/364. He said thats our speeds in this area. Only way to get faster speed is to pay for higher speeds.

See how long this is going ot last, I hope no more trouble for a very long time.

Also checke don Cable TV packages. Stil on Adelphia Cable Packages in my area. Gotta wait tunil the Time Warner packages replace the Adelphia Packages my area is still on.

I live in a high priced area full of retireees, and old people who don't use the Internet, or if they don't. not many do at all, so there are no people in my area that I know that I can ask how there RoadRunner is working. I have to rely on interaction on forums.

Most of the people on forums don't live anywhere close to me. I would think that since there are not many people using it in my area, my speeds would increase. Less people sucking bandwith.

The tech told me that all this. He said, those with speeds over 5000/384 are paying for premium speeds. That's not what I hear. I hear that those getting the newer speeds up to like 8000/512 or even higher do not pay extra. But, maybe it's just in San Diego North County Coastal the tech was referring too.

In any case, for some reason I am only getting 77% of the average bandwith.  :tickedoff:

On the bright side, it's working.  :cheesy:

It's horrible again... miserable... we are fed BS! They blame their problems on the customers computers and they also blame the customers cables..

We have no other choice..

If I could choose Cox Cable, I would do it immediately with no hesitation!

I would have changed a very long time ago !
