CodsterTX Posted April 11, 2007 CID Share Posted April 11, 2007 I bought a DLink gaming router for a hundred bucks last week and wanted to use it with my FIOS i got installed today. But the technician installed my FIOS using Coaxial and not Cat 5!!! Damn, did i just waste $100? I got it through newegg and already mailed in the rebate so i cant take it back. Grambler Posted April 11, 2007 CID Share Posted April 11, 2007 Modem should be Coaxial in and CAT5 out, is it not?
CodsterTX Posted April 11, 2007 Author CID Share Posted April 11, 2007 You dont think a modem would slow the FIOS down?
granpa Posted April 11, 2007 CID Share Posted April 11, 2007 You dont think a modem would slow the FIOS down? I think you need to do some reading and understanding of what does what here. A little insight will go a long way on what you can get out of your FIOS. Example, do you know what FIOS means?
