How pathetic? So pathetic. Tried TCP optimizer, no difference. I'm beginning to think it's my cheap stupid router. Have any of you ever had this kind of experience with a router  before? The wireless card on my laptop works fine - had Verizon DSL, never had an issue, and I can connect to the networks at work, no problem. This, however, is ridiculous. Any help welcome.

Yeah, it's MUCH faster without the belkin.. Stupid router - I knew it was a piece of garbage.

On that note, I'm going to be buying another router, and I'm interested which ones you've experienced that aren't crap? I don't wanna buy another POS like this one.

So wait, a direct connection to the comp could be faster then one connected to a wireless router? That could be my problem too...

OF course it could be. Never hurts to try. If that doesn't work, post back we will try a few other things.   [nerdly]
