localhost0 Posted February 9, 2008 CID Share Posted February 9, 2008 Hello, I run a roadrunner high speed connection with a modem and no router being used. I've messed around with using both zonealarm free firewall w/ Windows XP firewall and using neither. While playing games like WoW or using Ventrilo I experience extreme lag spikes, often. At the same time while trying to load a web page it takes about 30 seconds to load, when it would normally take maybe 2. I've reset my cable modem multiple times, and still no better. bigw Posted February 9, 2008 CID Share Posted February 9, 2008 this may be a long shot but.. I found one time that the driver for my sound card was giving me issues with vent.
