zalternate Posted April 3, 2009 Author CID Share Posted April 3, 2009 geeze did that guy shoot that kid?? Nah. Notice the camera angle changes and his crouch is slightly off. And some here may say that only a gun shooting blanks would smoke like that. Can't have the actor having live rounds bouncing around in that Empty mailbox cylinder. Was watching a show called Evening Magazine on King5 tv in Seattle. They had a top ten April first hoaxes and one was where an old show called 'Almost Live' , had a fake news break during the show and the fake newsman said the Seattle Space Needle had fallen down, with cut and paste pics of a fallen tower. Many people then overloaded the 911 service cause they did not notice the bits about it being April first, etc. Can't find a video clip..... * On April 1, 1989, Seattle area TV program Almost Live! set up a phony broadcast room and dressed actors as TV anchors to pull an April Fool's joke with a mock newscast that reported that the Space Needle had collapsed in a windstorm. The prank featured footage of downed parts of the needle and hysterical eyewitness accounts (also by actors). Local hospitals prepared for the inevitable onslaught of injured patients. One man, whose daughter worked at the Space Needle, in a panic, drove from Spokane to see if his child was safe.[4][15] The end of the skit gave the prank away, but many still believed the broadcast. TV station KING 5, the producer and broadcaster of Almost Live!, later apologized. EDIT: heres a promo of the show... http://www.king5.com/video/eveningmagazine-index.html?nvid=347974 And the Space Needle prank bit.. http://www.king5.com/video/eveningmagazine-index.html?nvid=347972
