mudmanc4 Posted August 30, 2009 CID Share Posted August 30, 2009 Can you do another speedtest here, and post it ? Go into "misc tools" menu at the top of each page, and do a trace route to testmy.net.

mudmanc4 Posted August 31, 2009 CID Share Posted August 31, 2009 It might be a good idea for you to use the automatic test here at testmy.net, it's in the misc tools section up at the top of the page, this will log the test results for you. Of course since your a member all of your tests are logged for you. But this may give you an idea of the times that your having issues. Also able to refer to the ISP. cdeez Posted September 3, 2009 Author CID Share Posted September 3, 2009 I got it all fixed , had a tech guy come out moved my cable line to a new connector in the meter room in my apt complex . Signal is much better and internet has not dropped since.
BSpot79 Posted January 1, 2010 CID Share Posted January 1, 2010 yeah...I'm a technician for Comcast. That 55 DbMv is too high for the transmit level and the higher that number the harder it is for the modem too talk back. This creates heat and the heat causes the modem to shut off until it cools down. Then repeat the process. It's best to keep that upload below 50 DbMv
