dragonfly3377 Posted February 23, 2005 CID Share Posted February 23, 2005 I traded in the old Motor.SB3100 for a SB5100 today and got the 6600/768 service. I may still need some help though as I am getting about 4-5.1 down. Running a HP Pavilion with XP Home and SP2, two 40 Gig drives (not Striped),. Comcasts' service to my modem is now 6600/768. dragonfly3377 Posted February 23, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 23, 2005 I should have included that I changed the Default Receive Window.
VanBuren Posted February 23, 2005 CID Share Posted February 23, 2005 thanks for that feedback dragon I know its abit confusing but the DefaultReceivewindow is a AFD parameter and can be set higher then 65535 on windows XP SP2 without windows scaling is enabled but if your using alarger TCPwindowsize then 65535 you need to use windows scaling Some ppl has unstable results and dosent always get their cap with my latest tweakfiles, i will think about lowering that DefaultReceivewindow cos i see it works very well. I need some more ppl testing and then i rebuild them yea the moose should take cover this fall, last year they all tricked me so i want revenge VanBuren
