mudmanc4 Posted July 7, 2012 CID Share Posted July 7, 2012 Might want to check your DNS server list within your operating system. Time has come where the FBI is shutting down the supposed affected servers hosting this malware. Monday the 9th if you cannot seem to access any website by your icons or by typing in the address bar , your machine might be effected. You should however be capable of typing in the website IP address , at the same token many will not have this capability. You can come to testmy.net at 174.120.187.140 to get a solution in removing the DNS servers. For now , you may want to see if your machine is been effected, please look for these DNS servers in the local list. rotoruda

mudmanc4 Posted July 8, 2012 Author CID Share Posted July 8, 2012 Many people that are not familiar with the DNS setting , either on there laptop / tower , or the router they might be using , have contracted the malware through various means, which hijacks there browser and changes the DNS, aside editing the host file. If anyone notices there internet explorer is " running without add ons " , or you are redirected to an unfamiliar search page, you may want to post a question so we can help you deal with the issue.
