slickjim Posted September 20, 2012 CID Share Posted September 20, 2012 I have 2 HP laptops, one DV7T and one DV8T. Both are running Windows7 and Office Professional 2010. Both are kept up to date with Microsoft updates. The DV7T is using Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter and Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2 for IPv6. This is working fine as it is and I am getting IPv6 connections. The DV8T is using TEREDO Tunneling Pseudo-Interface for IPv6. This is getting a message that states “This device cannot start (Code 10).” and I am not getting any IPv6 connections, only IPv4, which is slow compared to IPv6. Can I just uninstall TEREDO from a HP DV8T and install the Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter to solve no IPv6 connections?
mudmanc4 Posted September 20, 2012 CID Share Posted September 20, 2012 Seems that you should find the correct driver for the card.
slickjim Posted September 22, 2012 Author CID Share Posted September 22, 2012 Teredo said I had the right driver.
mudmanc4 Posted September 22, 2012 CID Share Posted September 22, 2012 I might attempt to uninstall the device through device manager, restart the machine and windows should find the device. If not, use the 'install new hardwars ~ already connected ' wizard. What happens after ?
