um, so I'm running at less than 1% of that possible, help?

I have a dial up connection from a local company that has seemed quite slow. it is a 56K service and I have a brand new 56K Zoom Modem.

I am running winXP, SP2, Zone Alarm Free (it was just as slow before i got ZA), AVG Free, all the recommended spyware utilities, and have a couple registry cleaners i like. All the protocols I have running are what I need and the boxes under LAN settings are always unchecked.

So could you please tell me, o great gurus of TCP tweaking, what am I to do?

Also, here are the download test results given to me. I tried the upload test....i guess my connection didn't like it because it times out. LOL.....I really need your help because I love online gaming like UT2004 and Quake III

basically dial up speed is all based on your actual phone lines and how far you are from the server- My dial up is at best 24k  and i too have a new modem and 56k service - nothing you can do -if you already have a v.92 modem then that is about all you can do.
