netmasta Posted May 3, 2005 CID Share Posted May 3, 2005 Your upload is pretty close to the cap (384Kb). What were you getting before?
daserb Posted May 3, 2005 Author CID Share Posted May 3, 2005 yeah i know that UP speed is normal but until Saturday, I was getting around 700kbps (87 - 92 kB/s)
netmasta Posted May 3, 2005 CID Share Posted May 3, 2005 Try rebooting your modem and router if you have one. You're on the 4Mb 384Kb plan right?
daserb Posted May 3, 2005 Author CID Share Posted May 3, 2005 Yes, Im on that plan. I did restart both modem and router, but nothing. I just dont understand y did UP speed went down by almost 50%. I know that comcast was doing some repairs or whatever in my area, but i dont know if that has anything 2 do with my speed. Thanks Anyways
netmasta Posted May 3, 2005 CID Share Posted May 3, 2005 Well, I have no idea why you were getting 700Kb down since the max is suppose to be 384Kb for the regular plan. If you are getting around 384Kb as your first post indicates, you should be happy.
pitbull481 Posted May 4, 2005 CID Share Posted May 4, 2005 yeah i know that UP speed is normal but until Saturday, I was getting around 700Kbps (87 - 92 kB/s) you probably had the 6Mb/768Kb Plan if you were averiging 700 on upload. What was your download speeds before? 374kb upload and 4222 download is very good for 4000/384 Plan this is what i get for 6Mb/768Kb plan :::.. dlewis23 Posted May 5, 2005 CID Share Posted May 5, 2005 daserb i think that you singed up for the 4mb/384kb plan and someone mistakingly had you on the 6mb/768 plan but when you started seeing the decrease in speed, comcast on there end fixed it, meaning someone realized that you were on the wrong plan so they switch you back to the 4mb384kb plan ware you were suppose to be.
