Get Sum Thug Luv Posted May 20, 2005 CID Share Posted May 20, 2005 I'm kinda new to all of this tweaking your speed and all, but when I tested my download speed, it came up horrible, even though I have a good upload speed. I shut off all programs using my connection at the time also, plus I did what it said on the two sticky topics for making your speed faster. I also tweaked my settings for 4000 using cablenut, but none of this actually changed my download speed, it made my upload speed just a little faster, like 1 KB/s... Seems like my download wont go higher than 75% average because I've tested this over and over using diff tweaks and everything. I have no spyware/ad ware/viruses, because I did what was posted on the sticky.. (which got rid of hundreds of files, thank you. ) but this still perplexes me.. My download - :::.. netmasta Posted May 21, 2005 CID Share Posted May 21, 2005 I looks like it could possibly be a problem on the server end. Try a test from one of the mirrors (editors choice is recommended) to see if you get better results.

netmasta Posted May 21, 2005 CID Share Posted May 21, 2005 Go the download test section and click on the red text that says <<Test Mirrors As for the new servers, it's not testmy'net's fault. It seems like one of the hops(servers) on Ca3les provider is a little slow.
