cak46 Posted May 27, 2005 CID Share Posted May 27, 2005 Are you running XP and does it do it while gaming only?
peepnklown Posted May 28, 2005 CID Share Posted May 28, 2005 I would check device manager and see if you have any little yellow exclamation marks. On the lower right-hand side of the task-bar, how many little icons are running?

cak46 Posted May 30, 2005 CID Share Posted May 30, 2005 Does it do it also just browsing the 'net? If not, it could be your connection is getting dropped off while gaming, causing the blue screen. What game(s) are they?
junkieXL Posted May 31, 2005 CID Share Posted May 31, 2005 Your memory is bad or incompatible with the mobo. Generic memory sticks will also cause this error. If it is the memory, usually Windows XP Setup won't even start... the real-mode part of setup (with the blue background) will hang at "Setup is starting Windows..." just before the EULA. If not, you'll usually get file copy errors during setup... with a message that tells you the disc may be dirty. The problem is data corruption in the memory, which means the file that ends up on the hard drive doesn't match the original on the disc. Try slapping a name-brand memory board in it, as most manufactured PC's are equipped with second-rate trash. Also, the Realtek chipset NIC card (onboard NIC, or a PCI NIC) are known to cause this BSOD too. Removing the PCI NIC/disabling the onboard and using a 3COM NIC will solve el problemmo. Hope this helps
