xs1 Posted May 29, 2005 CID Share Posted May 29, 2005 Welcome to the forums rippling. You can try tweaking the connection with cablenut, but if your on a 2 mb package and only getting 25 kbs, you may need to call the ISP and complain. But tweaking is allways worth a try. Guest helloimtim Posted May 29, 2005 CID Share Posted May 29, 2005 Just a few things. I am from america so I can not help with your server but I can offer a few Ideas. Most seem like they want to tweak there settings before they check for other issues. First you can try this. Shut down your browser and such and run this free small handy aplication . http://readerror.gmxhome.de/ see if anything is leaving your computer or comming in that may affect your speeds. Go into safe mode and scan for virus and spyware. Unplug your modum and turn off your computer. Wait 2 min the plug in your modum. Wait 2 more min then turn on your computer. While I dont claim to know anything about connections you your part of the world I have to wonder if its not a issue with your computer and not your isp. I am assuming your running xp. Honestly is sounds like its a issue with virus and or spyware. Just my
