Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 1381 Kbps about 1.4 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB) Download Speed is:: 169 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Sat Jun 11 19:42:40 PDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 25X faster than 56K 1MB download in 6.06 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 42.1 % of your hosts average (verizon.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-BMCZNEV5P Connection Problem I have Verizon DSL. I also use a router called LINKSYS 4-port router and my friend uses a router too... I get 40-90kB/s and he gets 80-180kB/s. I would like to know how i can get that speed too? Is it because my phone line travels across my room to my moms room? Or is it because of some computer settings. The phone line to the phone plug from the DSL modem is about 30-35 feet from my DSL modem. I would like to know how can i increase my speed to at least 170kB/s or higher if i can! Router Problems About 2 days ago my conneciton started slowing down like crazy. So i took out the plug for my other comp and then the connection went back to normal. I was playing a game on computer and i plugged the connection to the other comp back and then my connection started to lagg like crazy again! I have 2 computers connection to the router including this one. This has never happened before Please how can i fix this problem?

xs1 Posted June 12, 2005 CID Share Posted June 12, 2005 It could be one or more of many things.. Network card drivers are faulty. spyware viruses Modem/router deffective modem/router drivers need updating phone line or splitter faulty. I think the easiest thing to do is to go directly thru the modem to test speeds.. If their fine, its the router. If it isnt, borrow your friends modem and test on your pc.If your speeds are still slow its either something with your machine or the phone lines to your home. Just some thoughts

I even shut off the modem for a min that didnt help! I tried following the tweak steps but i kinda got confused. Unless someone can give me a good setting that might help for the CableNut.
